If you’ve been reading this blog for a while, you might remember almost a year ago to the date, when I posted a series of three drawings I called the “Funky, Sexy Jazzmen.” Then, over the school year, I drew a number of comics introducing and exploring the three characters in more detail (printed in the Carleton Comics Journal). Now, in a little over a week, you’ll be able to find the ongoing adventures and misadventures of the Funky Sexy Jazzmen online: at funkysexyjazzmen.com.
I won’t go into a lot of specifics here, but I’m doing a lot of experimenting with new media, sometimes working with as many as six or seven different types for one comic. Because of the quality I want for the art and story, I’m going to start off updating conservatively: only on Wednesdays for at least the rest of the calendar year. Come 2011, who knows… Anyway!
